Scope and data controller
This Privacy Policy explains how Spaxel Technology Limited handles personal information when you use Spaxel’s mobile applications, websites, communities, profiles, feeds, chats, membership features, creator submission tools and related services.
Spaxel is a social platform for interest-based communities, conversations, creative self-expression and user-submitted digital goods. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and User Guidelines.
Information we collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated when you use the Services and information received from providers that support the Services.
- Account information: username, email address, phone number if used for sign-in, authentication credentials, account ID and age or date-of-birth information.
- Profile and community information: profile photo, avatar, display name, bio, interests, community memberships, blocks, mutes, selected profile decorations and membership status.
- User Content: posts, comments, community content, images, videos, audio, messages, reactions and digital goods submitted for review.
- Membership and transaction information: Prime product, purchase identifier, subscription status, purchase date, renewal information, refunds and chargebacks.
- Technical information: IP address, device model, operating system, app version, browser or network information and error or diagnostic information.
- Support and safety information: messages sent to support, reports, appeals, moderation records and evidence submitted in a report.
Messages and private spaces
We process message content and related information, such as the sender, recipients, conversation, time sent, delivery status and read status, when needed to deliver messaging features, synchronize messages, prevent spam and abuse, investigate reports, protect users, enforce our rules or comply with law.
Messages and private spaces are not guaranteed to be end-to-end encrypted unless Spaxel expressly states otherwise. Messages may be accessible to their intended recipients.
Public content and community activity
Depending on the feature and audience settings, your username, profile information, posts, comments, community activity and creator submissions may be visible to other users or the public. Public information may be copied or shared by others. Do not publish information that you want to keep private.
Community owners, moderators and administrators may see content and activity that you choose to share in their community. They do not receive your password, full payment details or unrelated private account information merely because they manage a community.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create, authenticate, maintain and secure accounts;
- provide communities, profiles, feeds, chats, notifications, creator submissions and other requested features;
- display and personalize content, community recommendations and platform settings;
- deliver, verify and restore Prime membership benefits;
- receive, review and manage digital-good submissions;
- moderate content, process reports and appeals, enforce our Terms and User Guidelines, and protect users and communities;
- detect and prevent fraud, spam, automation, scraping, account abuse and payment abuse;
- communicate with you about account security, support, transactions, policy changes and important Service updates;
- understand usage, fix bugs and improve the Services; and
- comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Legal bases
Where required by applicable law, we process personal information to provide a Service you requested, perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation, protect users and the Services, pursue legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, or because you gave consent.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent through available device or in-app controls or by contacting support@spaxel.app. Withdrawal may affect the feature that depends on that information.
Sharing and service providers
We may share personal information with service providers that process information on our behalf, such as providers for hosting and storage, authentication, messaging, payment and subscription processing, security, customer support and content moderation.
These providers may access only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services and must provide protections consistent with this Policy and applicable privacy requirements.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce our agreements, or support a merger, acquisition, restructuring or transfer of the Services. We may also share information at your direction or with your consent.
Prime membership and payments
When you purchase Prime through Apple, Google or another payment provider, we receive transaction information such as an account or purchase identifier, product, price, currency, subscription status, purchase date, renewal information and refund or chargeback status.
We use this information to provide and restore membership benefits, handle support, prevent fraud and comply with accounting or legal requirements. Payment providers process payment details under their own terms and privacy policies. Spaxel does not intend to collect the full payment-card number through the Services.
Retention and account deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain security, moderate content, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and support transactions.
You may initiate deletion of your account through the in-app account settings. This process is intended to delete the account rather than merely deactivate it. If you cannot access the in-app flow, email support@spaxel.app from the address associated with the account.
After a valid deletion request, we will delete or de-identify your account information, profile and associated User Content within a reasonable operational period, except where information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, moderation, transaction records, disputes, legal claims or legal obligations. Copies independently downloaded or shared by other users may remain outside our control.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, secure credential handling, encrypted transmission where appropriate, monitoring and restricted access to support and moderation records. No service can guarantee absolute security. Notify us promptly at support@spaxel.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
Adults only
Spaxel is intended for adults, and registration is limited to users who are at least 18 years old, or older if required by applicable law. We may use age information to enforce this restriction.
If we learn that we collected personal information from a person under 18 in violation of our age requirement or applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information and terminate the account. If you believe a person under 18 is using Spaxel or is at risk, contact support@spaxel.app.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, receive a copy of your information, withdraw consent, opt out of certain communications and complain to a data-protection authority.
You may also manage profile visibility, notifications, blocks, mutes and other available choices within the Services. To exercise a privacy right or request a copy of your information, contact support@spaxel.app. We may need to verify your identity and may apply lawful limitations.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Any regional rights that apply to you remain unaffected by this Policy.
Third-party platforms and links
The Services may be distributed through Apple’s App Store, Google Play or other platforms and may contain links to third-party services. Those platforms and services have their own terms and privacy policies. This Policy does not control how independent third parties process information.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when the Services, legal requirements or data practices change. We will publish the updated version and effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required.
